Growing Europe: Welcoming a New Erasmus+ Partnership in Alicante

·

Erasmus+ Growing Europe

Asociación Europea Equalis is pleased to begin a new partnership with Association Aries from Bulgaria through the Erasmus+ project “Growing Europe: Advancing Digital, Civic, and Social Competences for Democratic and Inclusive Societies.”

The project will bring a group of adult learners to Alicante, Spain, from 3 to 10 October 2026. Equalis will be happy to welcome the participants and contribute to the creation of an inclusive, practical and supportive learning environment.

Supporting skills, participation and inclusion

“Growing Europe” responds to challenges faced by adults who experience social, economic or educational barriers. Limited digital competences, low confidence in civic participation, difficulties in recognising misinformation and reduced access to international learning opportunities can all deepen social exclusion.

During the mobility, participants will develop practical digital, civic and social competences. The programme will address digital literacy, media resilience, European values, democratic participation, teamwork, communication and the development of community ideas.

The learning process will encourage participants not only to acquire new knowledge, but also to apply it. They will work together, identify challenges affecting their communities and develop possible solutions using collaborative and project-based methods.

Inclusion will be central to the mobility. Activities will be designed to support adult learners with fewer opportunities through accessible materials, small-group work, practical exercises and structured guidance. The aim is to create a safe environment in which every participant can contribute, build confidence and progress at their own pace.

The project will also support participants in becoming more active within their communities. After the mobility, they will be encouraged to share what they have learned and use their new competences in local educational and civic activities.

A new partnership with Association Aries

We are very happy that Association Aries has chosen Equalis as its hosting partner in Alicante. This new cooperation brings together two organisations that share a strong commitment to inclusion, non-formal education, European cooperation and the empowerment of people facing barriers to participation.

For Equalis, hosting this mobility is an opportunity to exchange experience, develop new educational approaches and contribute to a meaningful European learning experience. We look forward to working closely with Association Aries and to welcoming the participants to Alicante in October 2026.
